TEXAS TRUCK-BUYING SERVICE

Terms and Conditions

TruckBuyerTexas provides free truck evaluations for owners considering selling trucks physically located in Texas. We primarily serve private truck owners and also consider inquiries from owner-operators, businesses, dealerships and fleet sellers.

Requesting an evaluation is free, and you are not obligated to accept an offer. Every truck is reviewed individually, and submitting information does not guarantee an offer, purchase price or completed transaction. If both parties agree to a truck purchase, towing is included at no additional charge, with pickup arrangements confirmed according to the truck and its location.

These Terms and Conditions explain the use of this website, how truck purchase inquiries are handled, and the distinction between a preliminary evaluation and an agreed vehicle sale.

Free evaluation

No fee to request a truck review.

No obligation

You can decline a potential offer.

Free towing with a purchase

Pickup is included with an agreed truck purchase.

1. Scope of Our Truck-Buying Service

TruckBuyerTexas reviews trucks located within the State of Texas for possible direct purchase. The owner does not have to reside in Texas, but the truck must be physically located in the state.

Vehicle inquiries may concern personal pickups, heavy-duty diesel pickups, contractor trucks, work trucks, semi trucks, box trucks, dump trucks, service-body trucks and other commercial truck configurations.

The ability to submit a truck does not guarantee that its type, condition, age, ownership situation or location will meet our purchasing requirements.

We evaluate each truck individually rather than guaranteeing acceptance of every vehicle submitted.

2. Who May Submit a Truck Inquiry

You may submit information about a truck you own or are lawfully authorized to represent.

If a truck belongs to a company, dealership, fleet or another individual, you should have appropriate authorization before offering it for consideration.

Submitting an inquiry on another person’s behalf does not establish legal ownership or authority to complete a sale.

Before a purchase is completed, ownership and authorization may need to be verified through appropriate documents.

3. Free Evaluations and No-Obligation Offers

TruckBuyerTexas does not charge a fee to request a truck evaluation through this website.

The inquiry process consists of three distinct stages:

Inquiry: You submit information about your truck, including its location and condition.

Evaluation: We review the available information and determine whether a potential purchase offer is appropriate. Additional details or verification may be needed.

Agreed purchase: If you choose to accept proposed terms and both parties agree to proceed, transaction documentation, payment and towing arrangements are addressed as part of the purchase.

Submitting a form does not sell your truck. An initial evaluation is not itself an agreed purchase.

You may decline a potential offer without paying an evaluation fee.

TruckBuyerTexas is not obligated to make an offer or purchase every truck submitted.

4. Information Used to Evaluate a Truck

A truck evaluation depends on the information available about the vehicle.

For pickups and light-duty work trucks, relevant details may include the year, make, model, mileage, engine, transmission, drivetrain, cab configuration, maintenance history, modifications and physical condition.

For larger commercial trucks, additional considerations may include engine hours, axle configuration, vehicle weight class, emissions equipment, installed work bodies, specialized equipment and operational status.

Please describe known issues that may materially affect the truck’s condition, ownership or transportation, including:

  • Engine or transmission failures.
  • Accident damage, rust or structural problems.
  • Non-running condition or missing components.
  • Significant mechanical or electrical defects.
  • Altered or damaged commercial equipment.
  • Outstanding liens or title complications.
  • Restricted access to the truck’s current location.

Provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge.

Incomplete or inaccurate information may affect the evaluation and any potential purchase terms.

5. Preliminary Estimates, Offers and Verification

A preliminary value assessment may be based on your description, photographs, vehicle specifications and other available details.

A preliminary estimate should not be interpreted as a guaranteed final purchase price.

Additional photographs, documentation, clarification or a physical inspection may be needed to establish the truck’s actual condition and determine whether a purchase can proceed.

Information discovered during further review may affect a proposed price or the decision to purchase.

TruckBuyerTexas does not guarantee that every vehicle will receive an offer, that a particular price will be available, or that an inspection can always be avoided.

A seller may consider a potential offer without being required to accept it.

6. Truck Ownership, Titles and Liens

A potential truck purchase may require verification of lawful ownership and the documentation needed to transfer the vehicle.

A seller should disclose any known lien, financing arrangement, ownership dispute or title problem before completing a transaction.

For trucks with outstanding financing, additional steps may be necessary to determine the applicable lien payoff and title-release arrangements.

A missing or damaged title may also require additional documentation. The availability of a replacement-title process does not mean every vehicle with missing paperwork can be purchased.

Business-owned trucks may require verification of the individual authorized to sign transaction documents.

Documentation requirements depend on the truck’s circumstances and applicable law.

The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles provides guidance on vehicle sales, titles and liens:

Texas Department of Motor Vehicles – Buying or Selling a Vehicle

For Texas-titled vehicles, TxDMV advises sellers to file a Vehicle Transfer Notification within 30 days after a sale to receive the applicable liability protection. A Vehicle Transfer Notification does not itself transfer ownership.

TruckBuyerTexas cannot guarantee the resolution of every lien, title defect or ownership issue.

7. Moving From an Offer to an Agreed Purchase

A website inquiry, preliminary valuation or discussion of a possible offer is not by itself a completed vehicle sale.

When both parties decide to proceed with a purchase, the transaction details must be confirmed.

These details may include:

  • Identification of the truck being purchased.
  • The agreed purchase price.
  • Ownership and title documentation.
  • Any applicable lien arrangements.
  • Payment method and timing.
  • Vehicle access and transportation arrangements.
  • Other terms relevant to that particular sale.

Any separately agreed purchase terms and applicable transaction documents should be reviewed before the sale is completed.

These website Terms do not replace legally required vehicle-transfer documents or automatically change the terms of a separately agreed transaction.

8. Payment Arrangements

Payment arrangements are established in connection with an individual agreed purchase.

The method and timing of payment may depend on the vehicle’s ownership status, required documentation, outstanding liens and other transaction details.

Before completing a sale, both parties should understand the agreed purchase amount, payment arrangements and any applicable documentation requirements.

Submitting an online inquiry does not create an entitlement to payment.

TruckBuyerTexas does not guarantee same-day payment, an automatic purchase or a specific payment method through its website.

9. Free Towing and Truck Accessibility

Free towing is included when TruckBuyerTexas and the seller agree to a truck purchase.

Towing is part of an agreed purchase, not a separate free vehicle-removal service for trucks that are not purchased.

Before reaching a purchase agreement, the truck’s location, operating condition, accessibility and transportation requirements may need to be reviewed.

For example, a non-running pickup can require different transportation equipment from a disabled semi truck or a heavy vocational truck.

Please disclose any relevant access conditions, including gated commercial yards, storage restrictions, blocked access, unstable ground or specialized loading requirements.

These details help determine whether transportation can be arranged and whether a purchase is practical.

Pickup timing and logistics are confirmed as part of the agreed transaction. An inquiry alone does not guarantee a towing date or pickup appointment.

10. Declining Offers and Changes to a Transaction

You are not required to accept a potential truck purchase offer.

If you decide not to proceed during the evaluation stage, there is no charge for having requested the evaluation.

If both parties have already agreed to a purchase, any changes or cancellation questions must be considered under the applicable transaction terms and law.

The no-obligation evaluation policy should not be interpreted as automatically canceling obligations that may arise from a separate purchase agreement.

11. Website Communications and Privacy

If you submit contact information, TruckBuyerTexas may use that information to respond to your inquiry, seek relevant truck details and discuss a possible evaluation or purchase.

An inquiry should not be treated as blanket consent to unrelated promotional calls, automated marketing messages or text-message campaigns.

Any additional marketing communications must comply with applicable notice and consent requirements.

The collection, use, storage and sharing of personal information should be described in the website’s Privacy Policy.

Please do not send unnecessary sensitive personal or financial documents through an initial website inquiry.

For privacy-related information, review the TruckBuyerTexas Privacy Policy.

12. Responsible Website Use

Visitors should use the TruckBuyerTexas website lawfully and provide truthful information when submitting inquiries.

The website must not be used to impersonate another person, misrepresent vehicle ownership, submit fraudulent information, attempt unauthorized access or interfere with its operation.

You should not submit another person’s contact information or vehicle details without appropriate authority.

TruckBuyerTexas may decline to proceed with an inquiry when ownership, authorization or submitted information cannot be adequately verified.

13. Website Information and External Resources

Information published on this website is intended to help truck owners understand the evaluation process and general considerations associated with selling a truck.

Content about vehicle condition, ownership, liens, transportation or title procedures is general information rather than individualized legal, financial, tax or mechanical advice.

The website may provide links to government agencies or other independent resources.

Those resources may maintain their own information, terms and privacy practices.

References to an external resource do not mean that TruckBuyerTexas controls its content or procedures.

Website graphics, written materials, logos and other content may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Rights remain with their respective owners.

14. Website Availability and Service Limitations

TruckBuyerTexas does not guarantee uninterrupted website availability or error-free operation.

Information published on the website may be updated as service details, procedures or applicable requirements change.

A website submission does not guarantee an offer, a particular truck valuation, purchase approval, payment date or transportation schedule.

Statements about free evaluations, no-obligation offers and free towing with an agreed purchase should be understood in their stated context.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove legal rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Applicable Requirements and Transaction Documents

The evaluation and sale of a truck may involve applicable Texas and federal legal requirements, depending on the vehicle and transaction.

Vehicle ownership, title transfer, lien release and related documentation must be handled according to applicable requirements.

Any separately agreed truck purchase should be documented as appropriate to that transaction.

These website Terms provide general conditions for inquiries and website use; they are not a substitute for the actual terms of an agreed vehicle sale.

16. Updates to These Terms

TruckBuyerTexas may update these Terms and Conditions when its website, evaluation procedures or related requirements change.

Revised terms will be made available on this page.

Changes to general website terms do not, by themselves, rewrite a previously agreed truck purchase. Any existing transaction remains subject to its applicable agreement and law.

17. Questions and Contact Information
